Quick little update
Here you go, just a quick little update before I continue driving on with the new work week.
Friday nothing too exciting went on. We ate dinner at Mongolian BBQ and that was about it.
On Saturday I went to the Poker tournament. AH and I got there about 9:15am, play started at 10am. We were in the third of three qualifying rounds for the finals. Total was about 400 entries. The top 15% moved on to the finals at 6pm. Around 4pm I made the top 15% and had about an hour and a half to relax before the finals. At 6pm the finals started, there were 56 of us in the finals, the tournament had a 6 hour time limit.
Throughout the night people kept dropping and I kept my consistent game going. I really didn't have a lucky streak. Finally we got to the final 15, which mean that everyone was getting prize money. Finally, there were 10 of us and we moved the the final table.
I was probably about 4-5/10 in total chips. Over time people kept dropping. Finally we got down to the final four. We were all pretty close to each other in chip counts. We also only had about 25 minutes left to play since the tournament had to end at midnight. We decided that we would just split the final four prizes instead of having the final order decided by chip count. That mean that each of us walked away with nearly five grand! How awesome is that!!!
That was definitely one of the high points of the weekend
After the tournament we went to see the movie 'Role Models'. It was actually quite funny! I would recommend it!
On Sunday I cooked breakfast for Amanda, Susan, and their cousins. After that we watched the Colts game, which was awesome! Then we took the girls home. In the evening we just lounged around.
That is the weekend!
