  • How is everyone tonight?  I'm ok now, but I wasn't earlier.  I just didn't feel good today.  I took a long long nap, upwards of 4 hours and I still just didn't feel any better.  I feel a little better now but far from 100%.  Don't ask me what it is because I have no idea.  Even with all the extra sleep I'm about ready to go to bed soon, and hopefully when I wake up in the morning I'll feel normal.

Once again, no exciting information to share since I spent a good part of the day unconscious, but there are a couple new stories that I'd like to touch on.

First, Lance Bass former boy band N'Sync member came out of the closet today.  It really shouldn't surprise anyone that there are gay guys in a boy band, but reading an article about Lance I really feel for the guy.  He basically was talking about how he was unable to come out because of what it would do to the band.  Man, that would have to be tough.  I wonder if his sexuality was known to the other members of the band, or if he kept it secret from them?  I guess he is dating the winner of the Amazing Race 4, I'm not sure who he is, but surprise surprise, they are working on their own reality show.

Second, Andrea Yates was found not guilty by reason of insanity.  To be honest I haven't been following the trial, but I do have a passing knowledge of what happened and it just sickens me that she isn't guilty of murder.  I have no doubt that someone in their so called "right" mind would not kill 5 of their kids by drowning them in a bathtub.  But then again would anyone in their right mind shoot at cars, do a drive by shooting, kill their wife for cheating on their husband or do any other type of murder?  No, no one in their "right" mind would, and thus wouldn't they be insane to do it?  I think that is where the real question lies here.  How can we decide where on the whole insanity playing field where her crime lies as compared to other murders?  I feel that we have to look at the crime more than anything.  I just hope to God that she never leaves the mental home or medical prison that she goes to and doesn't turn into a whore in prison sleeping with guards like Susan Smith or whatever that lady was that drove her car into the lake to kill her kids.

I just don't think the words "not guilty" should be used in the same line as Yates and what she did.

Still no plans for this weekend, it looks like Amanda won't be coming down.  She forget about a wedding shower and her sister is coming over, so we had a little adjustment.  Not the end of the world since we are starting to tick down the days until I'm home.

Oh yeah, almost forgot, I sent Amanda two dozen roses, a vase (one that she seems to love), a balloon, and some chocolates as a congratulations for becoming licensed.  I think that she liked it.

Ok, it's after 1, so I'm off to bed!

  • I'm with you on the whole Yates trial. I can't see how you can drown your 5 kids one at a time ... "insane" or not. Man her husband/ex-husband sure is sticking up for her though. That's a little odd to me. Personally I'd have a hard time handling that.

Thanks for the advice on the pearls!

  • I added to the story to better explain what happen.

I agree about the whole Yates trial too. The husband issue is kind of weird though I think. I'm pretty sure i'd have a hard time defending someone who killed my children.
